I had dinner at the same table with a teacher from Banqiao School last night. During the chat, I said that the "food education culture" created by President Li Yin was very good, and I admired it very much. Hearing this, the teacher was particularly interested and took the initiative to introduce me. In particular, she talked about the influence of "food education culture", which made students' behavior habits more standardized, civilized manners improved, and she admired President Yin and was proud to be a teacher in Banqiao School.

Last year, we wanted to be a "food culture". Considering that the integration of primary and secondary schools is not strong enough and the requirements are different, it will be difficult to implement, so I gave up temporarily. But what we have been paying attention to is the "food and education culture", which will be put on the agenda when the time is ripe.

Regarding the advantages of "food education culture" in rural primary and secondary schools, I have the following understandings:

First, the canteen is also a classroom. Students don't just sit in the classroom and learn knowledge. There are classes and knowledge everywhere inside and outside the school. The canteen is a place that students yearn for and stay for a long time, and naturally becomes another classroom for learning knowledge.

Second, the canteen building itself and rich wall charts, slogans and other cultural arrangements have a subtle educational effect on students, and can also be used as a vivid venue for teachers to educate students on frugality and scientific nutrition.

Third, the canteen is an important position for students to carry out regular education and civilized etiquette education. I can't stand being rude. China is a country with traditional etiquette, and has always been very particular about table manners. Many etiquette has been handed down from ancient times to the present, which has profoundly influenced China people from generation to generation. In today's fast-paced society, we should inherit the excellent traditional Chinese etiquette culture.

Fourth, the combination of diet education culture and labor education. For example, our Zundao school has a Daobo planting base. Under the guidance of the teacher, the children cultivated land, sowed seeds, fertilized, watered and pulled weeds, and harvested many fruits through hard work. These harvests are recycled by the canteen at the market price and become delicious food on the children's table. I think we can combine these two aspects and educate and train children with emotion, reason and labor as the link.

Fifth, the canteen can also be used as a base for children's experience. For example, we organize students to carry out the activity of "Bao jiaozi" in the canteen every year. In the past, we organized sex only to reduce the pressure on students, which was also equivalent to a kind of psychological counseling. But now we can combine it with diet education and cultural education, which will certainly produce better and richer educational effects.

The above five points are my preliminary superficial understanding. When we really implement the food and education culture, we can discuss it better and guide our education work better.
