The fishing season is specified by the Fishery Administration and Fishing Port Supervision and Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, each sea area branch and each province (municipality, autonomous region) according to the actual situation. The fishing ban period is based on the spawning, reproduction and growth seasons of fish. According to this law of fish, the 2022 inland river fishing ban period has started from March 1 and will end on June 30. Lasts for 4 months.

1. Scope of fishing ban

1. Treasury fishing vessels: all types of operations except fishing gear (including fishing auxiliary vessels that provide supporting services to fishing vessels).

2. Requirements for fishing bans

1. Vessel owners must do a good job in fire prevention of fishing boats, comprehensively investigate and rectify potential safety hazards, berth at fixed berths, and are strictly prohibited from blocking the waterway and prohibited from fishing during the moratorium. Welding in the parking area, lighting fires in open furnaces, burning incense and worshiping gods, setting off fireworks and firecrackers, etc.

2. Resolutely implement the fishing moratorium regulations at the port of registration. If berthing cannot be arranged due to insufficient berths at the ship's home port, the municipal competent department shall make overall arrangements in Shanwei City. It is strictly prohibited for fishing vessels to suspend fishing across provinces and sea areas.

3. All vacation-exempt fishing boats must be equipped with AIS ship position terminals or Beidou satellite terminals, keep them on at all times, and accept supervision, otherwise their qualifications for vacation exemption will be cancelled.

4. Holiday-free fishing boats must strictly implement management systems such as entry and exit reporting, epidemic prevention and control, and production safety.

3. Punishment Measures during the Closed Fishing Period

1. The fishing boats exempted from vacation are fishing boats that are included in the management of the national fishing boat database and whose operation type is fishing gear. Vessels from towns and villages involved in fishing are not within the scope of the management of the national fishing vessel database. During the fishing moratorium, all vessels from towns and villages involved in fishing are not allowed to go to sea for operations. Violators will be disqualified from registration and will be treated as "three noes" vessels for disposal.

2. If a treasury fishing vessel poaches, carries passengers to engage in recreational fishing activities during the fishing moratorium, or violates relevant regulations such as typhoon and flood prevention, it will be severely dealt with and compulsory measures will be taken to prevent it from leaving the fishing port for one month after the fishing moratorium ends. , cancel or reduce the oil subsidy amount for the current year in accordance with regulations.

3. Fishing vessels that have installed second-generation intelligent AIS terminals are strictly prohibited from dismantling, replacing or blocking the terminals without permission. Violators will be punished in accordance with the law and rectified within a time limit. Those who fail to make rectifications will be prohibited from leaving the port and operating at sea.

4. Anyone who engages in illegal and criminal activities such as smuggling, smuggling, drug trafficking, "electrocution, explosion, poisoning" of fish, etc. will be handed over to the relevant departments for criminal punishment.

5. Those who provide venues, material supplies and other assistance for illegal fishery production and operation activities will be handed over to relevant departments for investigation and handling in accordance with the law.

It is prohibited to use fried fish , poisonous fish, electric fish and other methods that destroy fishery resources. It is prohibited to manufacture, sell or use prohibited fishing gear. The catch must not contain more than a specified proportion of juvenile fish. It is prohibited to sell illegally caught catches in closed fishing areas or during closed fishing periods.
