In Germany, this is just a commonly used scoring method, which is limited to scoring any subject for elementary, intermediate and primary and secondary school students. 1 best, 4 just passed, as for 5 and 6, hehe, that's just crying.

sehr gut = 1 (S)

Gut = 2 (g)

befriedigend = 3 (B)

ausreichend = 4 (A)

Mangelhaft = 5 (m)

ungenegend = 6(U)
