Posters or blackboard newspapers asking for smoking bans?

May 3 1 this year is the15th World No Tobacco Day. According to the spirit of document [2002] No.54 jointly issued by the Ministry of Health, the State Love Commission and the State Sports General Administration, we will launch a publicity campaign on smoking ban with the theme of "Smoke-free Campaign-Clean Competition".

Tobacco and sports are incompatible. Sports improve the quality of life and bring people a healthy life, healthy competition and healthy psychology, while tobacco brings people illness and death. The World Health Organization calls for the elimination of all tobacco-related problems in sports, including tobacco consumption, passive smoking, tobacco advertising, promotion and sales. Thanks to the efforts of the World Health Organization, international and regional sports organizations such as the International Olympic Committee, FIFA and the International Racing Federation, as well as some world-class athletes, have joined the world smoke-free movement. Smoke-free Olympics became a reality from 1988 Canada Winter Olympics, and every Olympic Games since then are or will be smoke-free.

According to the survey of 1996, there are 320 million smokers aged 15 in China, and nearly10 million people die of smoking-related diseases every year. Basketball is a mass sports activity in China, which has a broad mass base. The implementation of smoke-free activities in CBA and WCBA will actively carry forward the Olympic spirit, promote the development of smoke-free sports in China, and further enhance the society's understanding that smoking is harmful to health. In 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, we will hold a smoke-free Olympics. For the smooth realization of our goal, the basketball court will make due contributions to the realization of this goal. Dear fans, please quit smoking for your own health, for the health of yourself and others, for the quality of TV broadcast, and for creating a good stadium environment. Please don't smoke.
