Protection of wooden tower slogan
Sagata is also a wooden pagoda that tourists often talk about. Looking back at the history of the wooden pagoda, we can know that it was built in the second year of Qing Ning in Liao Dynasty, and it was built under the auspices of Xiao Huanghou of Liao Xingzong. It is mainly used as a writer's temple to show its strength, and also as a ritual Buddha to visit and climb to spy on the enemy.
This sturdy wooden tower took 150 years to rebuild. Since then, it has played an important role in various dynasties. From the Yongle period, Ming Chengzu wrote a book "Extreme Craftsmanship"; In the period of Zhengde in Ming Dynasty, in order to celebrate the victory of Yingzhou War, Ming Wuzong wrote "Wonders of the World" to praise the achievements and beautiful scenery of wooden pagodas. It can be said that the royal families and dignitaries of all dynasties attached great importance to this ancient pagoda.
After thousands of years, Yingxian Wooden Pagoda still stands in Yingxian County, Shanxi Province, telling its brilliant road. To appreciate Yingxian Wooden Pagoda, we need to know the structure of the whole pagoda first, which is what Ma Qiting thinks is the most unique place of Yingxian Wooden Pagoda.
From the structural drawing above, we can see that the wooden tower is built on the abutment with a height of 67.35438+0 meters. From the outside, the whole tower has five floors and six eaves, but the hidden building inside actually has nine floors. Each floor is dedicated to the Buddha statue, and the first floor is the statue of Sakyamuni; One Buddha and two Bodhisattvas on the second floor; Three-story square Buddha statue; Four-story Manjusri, Pu Xian, etc. The fifth floor is the Pilushena Buddha, which explains its use as a stupa.
Standing in the distance, you can see a luxurious pagoda composed of lotus, moon, treasure cover and orb. Its exquisite shape complements the whole pagoda.
In addition to the grandeur of the building, the structure of the whole building is also extremely complicated. The whole tower uses about 2600 tons of Korean pine wood, with 8 columns on each floor and 12 columns outside. There are many braces, beams, Fang and short columns between columns, which are connected with each other to form a multi-beam wooden frame. This is also because the 67-meter-high wooden tower does not use nails and rivets.
Today, only one floor of this temple is open to tourists, and other towers are not open because of the protection of cultural relics, so that many tourists miss the beautifully sculpted Sifang Buddha and the Tathagata statue of Pilushena.
However, the open floor is still full of surprises. 1 1 The Sakyamuni Buddha stands in the middle, and the bearded Buddha statue looks very unique.
The above pictures are from the Internet and are for your appreciation only.
At the top of the main Buddha is a complex and exquisite algae well. Six groups of Buddha murals of Sakyamuni can be seen on the wall of the inner groove, but I personally prefer the murals of King Kong and Tianwang beside the door, which are richer in color and more beautifully depicted in details than the inner groove.
Where there are pagodas, there are temples. The supporting Buddhist temple of Yingxian Wooden Pagoda was originally Foguanggong Temple. Unfortunately, because of disrepair, this ancient Buddhist temple has long since ceased to exist. What we see now is a modern reconstructed building, which is quite rare in Shanxi, where there are many ancient temples. However, standing in the Buddhist temple overlooking Sagata can present another state and still show you the scene of the Buddhist temple.
It can be said that Yingxian Wooden Pagoda boldly followed the heavy architectural style since the Han and Tang Dynasties, and added the traditional construction techniques of ancient buildings, and used 54 kinds of bucket arches. This architectural style is extremely rare in ancient buildings in China.
Walking in Bukkoji Scenic Area, the breeze blows the bell hanging on the eaves and makes a crisp sound, as if telling tourists about the Millennium vicissitudes of the wooden tower. (Author: Stop the horse, life lies in walking, the journey needs to be recorded! )
