On resilience of toughness

Elasticity, originally a physical concept, refers to the elasticity of an object when it is squeezed by an external force. It is extended to the phenomenon that individuals are still well adapted and developed when facing serious threats. This is similar to the popular adversity quotient (AQ), that is, frustration quotient or adversity quotient. It refers to the way people cope with adversity, that is, the ability to face setbacks, get rid of difficulties and surpass them.

Resilience is to return to normal or even better performance from difficulties or adversity. Resilience is how to deal with, eliminate and find positive ways to further improve ourselves after we encounter problems.

Improving resilience is a continuous process, and building resilience means accepting challenges and coping with them, not avoiding them. Spend time and energy on things you can control and make yourself feel more in control. I summed up several small ways to enhance toughness:

You can try to make some small changes in your lifestyle, which will make you feel more capable of coping with adversity and stress:

-Be frank and decisive when communicating with others, and enhance self-confidence.

-Learn relaxation techniques, such as listening to music, meditation, jogging and bubble bath.

-Cultivate hobbies, find one or two things that are completely different from those that cause stress to yourself, distract yourself and calm yourself down.

Body is the capital of revolution;

-Get enough sleep

-keep a certain amount of exercise.

-A healthy diet, rich in variety but moderate.

While fighting for our ideals, we should also remember to take care of ourselves. We all know how to tolerate others, but we are always too hard on ourselves:

-Reward yourself for your achievements, even a small one.

When you don't achieve your goal, tell yourself that it doesn't matter, no one is perfect.

Have a rest, have a rest, don't always be too tight.

We don't have to deal with the world alone.

-Keep close contact with friends and family. Sometimes just talking can make people feel different.

-It may be relatively difficult to find support and honesty at work. ...

-Consult a mental health professional if necessary.

The way we think determines how we look at the world around us. If we can treat difficulties and adversity as challenges rather than misfortunes, we will at least feel more positive psychologically. If we regard our mistakes as opportunities for learning and growth, we will learn from them in the future and we will be able to cope with pressure better.
