What are the nationally recognized academic qualifications?

In my country's current national education system, in addition to full-time general higher education, there are four types of academic education recognized by the state: self-study examinations, adult education, TV University open education, and online education. Let’s break it down in detail:

1. Self-study exam

For self-study exams, any student can apply to take the exam, and candidates can independently choose the institution and major in which they will take the exam. There are many education or training institutions in the society with slogans saying that such-and-such famous university student classes will allow you to become such-and-such university student. In fact, these are all a guise. This type of education or training institution uses the brand name of a certain university to make money for itself. Because every self-study exam is uniformly arranged by the state, the main examination institution is responsible for propositions and marking papers, and the self-study examination office is responsible for arranging the examination room. No one, including so-called famous teachers, knows what questions will be tested, does not know how to predict the questions, let alone Guaranteed to pass. However, some of the main examination colleges have opened their own independent continuing education colleges. Such colleges can recruit students and provide unified teaching to the admitted students, which is equivalent to full-time education, but the diploma is a self-study examination type academic qualification.

2. Adult College Entrance Examination

The main subjects of its education are continuing education colleges independently set up by ordinary colleges and universities and radio and television universities. The most important threshold is the adult college entrance examination. All students who choose this type of education must take the adult college entrance examination organized by the state. They will be admitted only after passing the examination and meeting the requirements. The characteristic of this type of education is that it is strict in entering and lenient in exiting. Basically, after passing the exam, as long as you complete the prescribed tasks as required, you will usually be awarded graduation. There are three main learning methods: off-the-job, part-time and correspondence courses.

3. Radio and Television University Open Education

The main educational unit is the central and local radio and television universities at all levels. There is no admission threshold for junior colleges, and you can enroll as long as you register. However, if you want to upgrade from a junior college to a bachelor's degree, you will need to take the TVU entrance proficiency test. The learning method is mainly a combination of regular face-to-face teaching and self-study through online education platforms, which is open to a certain extent.

4. Online distance education

Our country has mainly approved 68 general colleges and universities with the qualifications to implement modern distance education. Students studying in the listed online education colleges can obtain a nationally recognized diploma by completing the required courses and completing the credits. The host college is independently responsible for recruiting students, arranging teaching and examinations, and issuing academic certificates, etc. The main learning method is that students learn independently through online multimedia means, which is not limited by time and space. There is no need for face-to-face teaching, separation of teachers and students, and communication only through online and other contact methods.
