Why don't Yongjing people say that they are from Linxia?

Yongjing people don't say they are Linxia people for the following reasons:

1. Geographical factors: Yongjing County and Linxia City are geographically close, but their cultures and languages are different. The ancestors of Yongjing people can't speak Chinese, but they can speak Hui language. Although they can speak Chinese now, their language is still Hui, which makes them more willing to distinguish themselves as "Yongjing Hui".

2. Historical and policy factors: Linxia is a multi-ethnic place, in which the Hui population is widely distributed. Historically, Yongjing and Linxia have different policies, which may lead to some differences in cognition and self-identity between the two places.

3. The influence of modern society: With the development of modern society, the formulation and cognition of policies have also had a certain impact on Yongjing and Linxia, further shaping the identity of Yongjing people.
