What achievements have been made in health care since the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC)?

The greatest achievement is that every village has barefoot doctors, and farmers' minor illnesses basically don't cost money and stay at home. This has been used as a promotion model by the United Nations. Workers and cadres do not spend money to see a doctor, and their families reimburse half. This is very remarkable in our devastated country.
