Over the years, the college entrance examination rate ranked first in Wugang City and among the best in Shaoyang City. In the college entrance examination of 1986, Zhang Xianjie won the top prize in science in the province. 1995, alumnus Liu Jun was elected as an academician of China Academy of Engineering, enjoying a high reputation in Sanxiang.

Our school has made remarkable achievements. The passing rate of graduation grade examination reached 100%. In the college entrance examination, students of our school won the first place in Shaoyang for many times. Xiao Yi and Yao Dai (Shaoyang 1, 5th in the province) were admitted to Tsinghua University with 655 points and 699 points respectively, while Zhang Li and Chen Zhongjie were admitted to Peking University with 660 points and 652 points respectively.
