a qigong exercise method handed down from ancient China. Baduanjin is composed of eight sections, and its body movements are simple and elegant, hence its name. Baduanjin was formed in the 12th century, and then spread through the ages to form many schools with their own unique practices and styles.

Baduanjin has two kinds of posture: sitting posture and standing posture. Sitting posture training method is quiet and has little exercise, which is suitable for wearing underwear to exercise before getting up or going to bed. Standing posture has a large amount of exercise, which is suitable for people of all ages and physical conditions. The practice method of standing posture Baduanjin is as follows:

① Hold the Three Jiao with both hands. Stand naturally, feet apart, shoulder width apart. Eyes look straight ahead, the tip of the tongue gently touches the palate, breathe through the nose, relax the joints all over the body, and naturally droop your hands. Ning Shen regulates breath, and qi sinks into the abdomen. Lift your arms slowly from the left and right sides to the top of your head, cross your hands and fingers, turn your palms over, and lift your palms up like a sky, while lifting your heels off the ground. After a short pause, both arms are lowered to recover, and both heels are lowered to the ground.

② opening the bow left and right is like shooting an eagle. Stand naturally. Take a step forward with your left foot and bend your legs into a riding position. Cross your hands on your chest, with your right hand outside and your left hand inside. Look at your left hand, then make a fist with your left hand, and your index finger will be tilted up, with your thumb straight and your index finger splayed. Then push the left arm to the left and straighten it, then turn the head to the left, look at the index finger of the left hand, and at the same time make a fist with the right hand, and spread the arm horizontally to the right like a bow. Return to standing naturally, and then practice the right posture.

③ regulating the spleen and stomach. Stand naturally, with your feet parallel and shoulder width, and your hands droop naturally. Raise your right hand with your palm turned upside down, with your fingers together, palms up and fingertips to the right, while pressing down with your left hand, palms down and fingertips forward. After a pause, recover. Then turn your left hand over your palm and practice the left pose.

(4) Look back after five strains and seven injuries. Stand naturally with palms close to your legs. Turn your head slowly to the left and look back. Recovery. Turn your head slowly to the right, look back and recover.

⑤ shake your head and swing your arm to get rid of the heart fire. Legs apart, about three feet apart, bend your knees into a horse-riding style, and put your hands on your thighs to face your body. The upper body and head bend forward deeply, and then make an arc-shaped swing in the left front as far as possible, while the hips swing right accordingly, and the left leg and left arm are properly extended to assist the swing. After a short pause, recover. Then practice the right style in the opposite direction.

⑥ climb your feet with both hands to strengthen your waist and kidney. Stand naturally. The upper body bends forward slowly and deeply, and the knees remain straight. At the same time, the arms hang down, and the toes are held in both hands, or the fingertips of both hands touch the ankles, and the head is slightly raised. After a pause, recover. Put your hands behind your back and lean back slowly. Recovery.

⑦ save your fist and glare to increase your strength. Legs apart, knees bent into a horse-riding style, hands clenched around the waist, fist heart up. The right fist is slowly hit forward, the right arm is straight, the heart of the fist is down, the eyes are wide open, and the eyes are looking forward. After a pause, recover. Hit the left fist slowly forward and practice the left pose.

⑧ the seven bumps behind the disease disappear. Stand naturally. The arms droop naturally, and the palms are attached to the front of the thighs. Keep your legs straight. Lift your feet about 1 ~ 2 inches off the ground and push your head up at the same time. After a short pause, the two heels fell to the ground and the body relaxed, still standing naturally. Recovery.

Twenty years ago, boxing friend Ni Lukui lent me a woodcut version of Yijinjing Ba Duan Jin He Ke, which is a collection of Suzhou Zhenxing New Bookstore. This book is a rare and good book with illustrations and clear explanations. I really can't put it down, so I recorded the whole book and returned it. In recent years, I saw my friend Zhou Xiaodong, a boxer, preach the sixth trend of the Dharma Yijin Jing, that is, the "claw-out and bright-wing style". The exercisers all said that the effect was very good, so it was well received by people. After I was inspired by him, I found that Zhou Qianchuan, our Emei qigong master, also set forth the "Twelve Types of Shaolin Dharma Yijin Sutra" in the book Qigong Drug Bait Therapy and Rescue Deviation Surgery.

Today, the related contents of Master Zhou and Twelve Pictures of Yijinjing, an eight-year woodcut edition of Xianfeng, will be compiled and supplemented, which can enrich the Yijinjing of Dharma and benefit the enthusiasts who practice this skill.

However, the above two books have their own characteristics of sects, and it seems difficult to compile the content with the same views. Therefore, I decided to use the following methods to describe them for discussion.

(1) keep the original appearance, and do not change a word in the sentence. If there is any doubt, use my comments to talk about my opinions.

(2) The famous saying: The Twelve Styles of Yijinjing of Shaolin School is really the secret of Shaolin and Emei schools. At the same time, it also makes up for the shortcomings of Twelve Villages of Emei. The most valuable thing is that Mr. Zhou can decipher the boxing classics of Yijinjing into plain and easy-to-understand vernacular, and its essence remains unchanged, which fully conforms to the philosophy of ancient health care practitioners and the theory of Chinese medicine.

(3) Among them, Wei Tuoxian's standing foot type of the first potential pestle is different from that of the Shaolin School. The former adopts the "external eight-character shape" and the latter is the "square shape", so the standing foot type is different, and the direction of the Neijing Qi pulse is also different. The "external figure of eight" takes the three yin qi pulse. The "square shape" takes the Sanyang Sutra, which is the fundamental difference between Buddhism and Taoism, and needs to be carefully pondered and discussed by enthusiasts.

The Yijinjing was originally divided into two volumes, which was created for the Buddha Dharma. It is said that Dharma came from the east of India, lived in the Shaolin Temple, and taught Buddhist meditation "Mahayana". The first generation of ancestors who came to China for "Zen" (according to India, he is the twenty-eighth ancestor). He saw that the monks who studied were in poor health, so he created this set of martial arts. His contents include "static work" and "dynamic work". The practice of static kung fu was gradually distorted from generation to generation. Later, Zen Buddhism tended to explain Mahayana teachings, and only paid attention to the method of "talking" for static kung fu practice. I have generally asked several well-known masters of the clan, but they are all out of this range, and they can't do anything, and those who can do it are not good at sitting, so the dynamic work and the static work go their separate ways, and they can't cooperate with each other. Until today, the teaching of the Yijin Classic of Shaolin School has been fragmented, which is really a pity.

The twelve forms of dynamic skill that have been handed down are from Song Shaolin Temple by Wang Zuyuan, which are different from the original "static skill map" and "fighting skill language". I have visited some predecessors, but I can't identify their advantages and disadvantages. Generally speaking, I think Wang's choice is exquisite. According to the guidance of my predecessor Huang Zhen-lao, I also tried to practice the method of Yijinjing, and applied it. The whole body is full of qi and blood, and I have never found any signs of bias, which proves that my predecessor's criticism is correct. According to the secret meaning taught by Huang Zhenlao, the operation method is introduced as follows:

The formula of Wei Tuo's offering pestle in the first style

The shelf of Wei Tuo's offering pestle is closely related to the three styles in the second quarter. These three postures are the foundation of Yijinjing's dynamic skills and the introduction of practicing Qi. This shelf began to use the principle of calmness and convergence of mind, combined with the interior physiology of the human body, and the application of qi pulse was very reasonable. It has won the material meaning of "moving in silence" and "moving in silence". Especially for regulating lung qi and giving play to the role of "lung governing balance", we started from here, and directly grasped the key of "lung is qi quotient" and controlled the total root of all qi movements. This is a very valuable method, which is indeed much better than the "hands-on" shelf of other sects. You can understand the formula carefully. The formula of the first style of Wei Tuo's offering pestle is as follows:

Stand upright, and hand over the ring as the chest. Qi and calmness are all gathered, and the heart is clear and respectful.

this formula means that when you start practicing, the first operation is to keep your body upright, not to exert yourself, and to relax your whole body. In order to achieve this requirement, we must first stand on the "site" and solve the problem of "standing" under our feet. You can't stand with your feet together. Once the well is erected and the air machine is started under your feet, it will be strong, but the tension will not be soft. Therefore, the distance between the feet must be about one foot two or three inches, and it is best to take my feet as the standard. The distance between the two feet is equal to the length of a sole. At the same time, the heel and toe must be in line, and the inside gap of the two feet stands in a rectangular shape. In the second operation, the upright end should be kept straight, instead of hunching over, and the "Shoulder Yu Point" on both shoulders (that is, the tip of the shoulder) should be slightly raised by 3.4 cm, so that the spine will be naturally straight without a bit of toughness.

in the third operation, keep your eyes half open and half closed, and look straight ahead, so that you can get the effect of clearing your mind and astringing your mind, because "if you look up, your mind will go up, but if you don't look at it now, your mind will go down" is not balanced. The fourth operation, the hands droop naturally and gently stick to the outside of the thigh. The fifth operation, exercise your hands, and at the same time slowly lift from the bottom to the front to your chest, stretching first and then bending; The palms face each other, slowly close the wrist to the chest, stop punching about one punch away from the chest, and connect the palms together as a chest, opposite to the "point in the middle" between the two breasts. In this way, the lungs can be in a "moderate position" from top to bottom, left and right, and the hand-suction degree can be raised and lowered, so as to meet the requirements of "qi-fixing". If the qi function is fixed, the mood will be clear and the spirit will be restrained.

press: it is not clear whether the palm of the hand is half yin or half yang from the front of the two palms, and scholars have further explored.

the formula of the second type of cross-arm magic pestle:

toes on the ground, hands flat. Calm and dumbfounded.

This formula means that, immediately after the first pose, one hand turns the two palms into a "yin palm" (palm down). Taking care of the left and right direction, from the folded shelf, it opens to the left and right, parallel to the shoulders, and opens in a straight line. This shelf shop is called "cross-arm magic pestle", which is a meaningful name, because at this time, you will feel that your shoulders are heavy, like a burden, while raising your heels, your toes are on the ground, and your kung fu is deep. You only need to use your big toe to touch the ground, and the other four. In this movement, the mind must be pinned on the palm of your hand and the tip of your toes, in order to achieve the state of calm. The symbol of calm outside is dumbfounded. If your eyes blink, you will be confused, and your mouth will be angry, which will have the opposite effect, while your toes will be unstable, stagger and tottering.

press: cross into a "yin palm" (palm down), and the word "cross" should be changed. To turn a closed palm into a yin palm, you must stretch the cross straight ahead, turn it into a yin palm while opening it, and at the same time, lift the heel from the ground to the toe point.

The third formula of palm support Tianmen: palm support and look up.

The fluid produced under the tongue will lick the palate, and the breath in the nose will make you feel at ease, and the palms will be slowly retracted, and you will see it again with force.

This formula means that after the "cross-arm demon-lowering promise", both hands continue to make a semi-circular motion upward along the zigzag shelf, and at the same time, the two palms make a semi-circular motion with the arm upward, slowly turning the "yin palm" into the "yang palm" (palm upward). With the palms facing the sky, the middle fingers of the palms slightly touch each other and face the Tianmen (two inches inside the hairline of the forehead). At this time, the two arms have become parallel and straight, slightly leaning against the two ear doors. This kind of shelf is called "palm support Tianmen". At the same time, use the consciousness of "eye root" to "look inside" upwards and see two palms from "Tianmen". Be careful not to look up with your eyes. Misuse of "observing the law" will inevitably make you dizzy and unstable. At the same time of this action, you must point the ground with your toes and continue to raise your heel until you can't raise it any more. The back heel should be slightly separated from the two cases, so that the "Yin-Tiaoku" will be closed and the "Dihu" will be closed, so that the qi pulse of Sanyin will rise retrograde along Sanyang. At the same time, the meridian points of "perineum" will be loosened, so that the "Du meridian" will give the three yang qi veins, and the balance between the Du meridian and the dimension will occur, so that the back three passes will be naturally unobstructed. At the same time, the shelf will naturally stand firm. This kind of shelf looks simple and delicate, and it is difficult to be skillful. If you practice it properly, your whole body will naturally stretch, and you will feel as strong as steel and firmly planted like a tree trunk, especially in the hypochondriac, rib, mustache, sacrum, thigh and other parts of two cases. The channels popular in the liver, gallbladder and spleen are particularly obvious.

Secondly, following the above actions, bite the left and right six big teeth slightly, and slowly bite your luck. After consciously clenching one's teeth, open the roots of the ears to vibrate, reaching to the temples. At the same time, the tongue touches the palate slightly, and the body fluid is absorbed in the mouth. The breathing is changed from mouth to mouth, and the breath is adjusted evenly, and it is adjusted to be thin and long, and continuous. Once again, pinch the two palms of Tuotianmen into fists, which are still divided into left and right sides. According to the old way of lifting, they fall back, as if to carry things under their arms and return to the shelf of the "cross-arm magic wand". At the same time, their feet also move together, and they can't be staggered. They slowly flatten their heels and return to standing.

The formula of the fourth type of star-changing:

Hold your head with one hand, and note your eyes from the inside of your hand. Breathe through your nose and breathe, and your hands will circle around your eyes.

The meaning of this formula is to connect the movements of the third type, that is, to cross the shelf of the magic drop lever, slowly raise the right hand to the upper right, and in the process of lifting, change the hand to the front to the left and face the top of the head, and throw the old one to keep the yin palm (palm down). At the same time, turn around and squint to the right, and look at the palm of the right palm. While the right palm is moving, the left hand descends in the opposite direction, and while falling, it shifts to the back, sticking the back of the hand to the "waist eye" (on both sides of the 14 vertebrae of the spine, about three inches across). At this time, the breathing of the inner qi machine must be evenly adjusted by the method of "nasal inhalation and mouth breathing". The most tight key is to focus your mind on the waist eye attached to the left hand line while staring at the palm with your eyes. With the breathing, the waist eye will naturally have a convex and concave effect. "With this convex and concave movement, the mind and the back of your hand will also move along with it. Breathe as many times as you want, three times and five times, without restraint.

Secondly, according to the above operation, on the contrary, the left hand should be corrected. Because this kind of shelf is the method of supporting Tianmen, and it is the method of practicing the opening of the three yin qi veins, so it is supported by the palm. The shelf for picking stars and changing buckets is a way to practice the three-yang qi pulse by turning the three-yin qi pulse into a back-yang qi pulse. The so-called meaning of picking stars and changing buckets means picking flowers and leaves from outside to inside, which means picking leaves, and the star shape of Beidou Nandou is described as a metaphor for the spirit of this shelf.

The fifth formula of pulling the nine oxtails backwards:

Bow in front of the legs and arrow in the back, and the luck in the lower abdomen is loose. The intention lies in the arms, and the eyes are grasped.

This formula means the shelf that moves after picking stars and changing buckets, and its operation order is analyzed as follows:

The first action, the shelf that picks stars and changes buckets, must start with the left hand up and the right hand sticking to the waist eye, and follow the natural law of "left yin and right yang" pulse, leading with the right hand and right leg, and must not be reversed.

Take your right hand away from the right waist eye, droop slightly, then turn it into a yang palm to the right and front, and copy it forward. Slowly copy it until it is even with your shoulders, and your elbows and arms are slightly flexed, which looks like the moon. At the same time, turn the palm into a "grasping hand" of the yin palm (the wrist is at right angles to the palm, and the five fingers are gathered together, such as the shape of a chicken's head. Qi is concentrated in the palm of the hand, and the mind is concentrated in the palm, just like pulling back with the tail of an ox.

in the second movement, while the right hand is operating, the right foot starts to move forward to the right, turning the right leg into a bow, while the left foot stretches as straight as an arrow along the posture of the right foot, which is called bow before arrow.

in the third movement, the right hand is copied forward, and the "grasping hand" is changed. At the same time, the left hand must be operated at the same time. As the original yin palm falls down, it is also changed into the "grasping hand" taken by the yang, and the back of the left back is reversed, forming two lines in the same direction with the arrow of the left foot, and the hand is about 15 degrees higher than the leg.

fourth move, right bow and left arrow. Grab it with your right hand in front and left.
