When was the Canton Fair founded?

Canton Fair (China Import and Export Fair) was established on 1957.

On April 25th, 1957, the first China Export Commodities Fair opened with an exhibition area of 9,600 square meters. There are five exhibition halls for industrial products, textiles, food, handicrafts and local products, and 13 professional foreign trade companies organize trade delegations to exhibit 1000 kinds of goods, including self-developed Jiefang brand trucks and ordinary lathes.

There are also various daily light industrial products, agricultural and sideline products and traditional handicrafts. More than 200 buyers from 19 countries and regions attended the meeting. In the first year of the Canton Fair, huge orders were placed, accounting for 20% of the country's total foreign exchange earned in that year. The opening ceremony of the132nd China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) was held on June 5, 2022.

The second phase includes kitchen utensils, daily-use ceramics, craft ceramics, home decorations, glass handicrafts, furniture, rattan iron handicrafts, garden products, iron and stone products (outdoor), household items, personal care appliances, bathroom products, watches and glasses, toys, gifts, holiday products and local products (newly edited in 109).

The third phase includes men's and women's wear, children's wear, underwear, sportswear and leisure wear, fur, leather, down and products, garment accessories and accessories, household textiles, textile raw materials and fabrics, carpets and tapestries, food, medical and health products, medical devices, consumables, dressings, sports and tourism leisure products, office stationery and shoes and bags.
