Where are the local operas of Wu Opera?

Wu Opera is a local opera in Jinhua, Zhejiang and its surrounding areas.

Focusing on Jinhua area, it is popular in Jinhua, Linhai, Jiande, Chun 'an and Yushan, Shangrao, Guixi, Poyang and Jingdezhen in the northeast of Jiangxi. It is composed of six tunes: Gaoqiang, Kunqiang, Luantan, Huizhou Opera, Tan Chun and Shidiao. Because Jinhua was called Wuzhou in ancient times, it was renamed as Wu Opera on 1950.

The stage layout is exquisite and exquisite, and the whole plot is interlocking and full of twists and turns. The actors dressed up beautifully and performed smoothly, and the audience burst into applause from time to time. "From these young actors, I see new hope for China's traditional culture." 1982, Tears of the Stone, adapted and performed by Zhejiang Wu Troupe, was made into a film by changchun film studio, and was selected as the best opera film in the 5th "Little Hundred Flowers Award" by changchun film studio. 1985 adapted the prequel of The Legend of the White Snake, which is unique and refreshing, and has been well received by experts at home and abroad.

In recent years, the troupe participated in the first China Art Festival, commemorating the bicentennial of Huiban's visit to Beijing, the '93 national exchange performance of local operas and the '95 national exchange performance of modern operas. The newly edited large-scale Wu drama "Kunlun Girl" won the Excellent Drama Award in the 6th China Arts Festival, and the newly edited large-scale Wu drama "Dream of Breaking Wujiang River" won the Excellent Drama Award in the 9th China Drama Festival.
