No, those who have changed their paper tickets can apply for a refund at the train station window before driving.

After purchasing tickets on 12306.cn website or mobile phone client, please refund the tickets in the following ways;

(1) If you haven't changed your paper ticket and it's not later than 30 minutes before driving, you can do it on the website of12306.cn.

(2) If the ticket has been exchanged for a paper ticket or within 30 minutes before driving, please bring the original valid ID card of the passenger who purchased the ticket to the ticket window at the station. Please provide the order number (E+9 digits) if the resident ID card cannot be read automatically or tickets can be purchased with other valid ID documents.

(3) If you use your resident ID card to purchase tickets and then go to the station to check in with your resident ID card, you will not leave the station by bus. Please confirm at the station and go through the formalities according to the regulations.

(4) If you get off the bus due to injury, illness or the carrier's responsibility, please follow the regulations at the next stop with the ride record issued by the train conductor.
