How long will it take for the court to issue a subpoena?

Legal analysis: court summons can generally be received within 12 days. The defendant can receive a copy of the indictment within 12 days after the indictment has passed the court review and can be filed. Generally speaking, the court session is held on the date required by the summons. According to the relevant provisions of the Civil Procedure Law, after the court files a case, it should have time to serve the defendant with a notice of responding to the lawsuit and give the defendant time to reply. If the ordinary procedure is applied, the court session will generally be held in one month, and if the summary procedure is applied, the court session will generally be held in one month.

The people's court shall send a copy of the indictment to the defendant within five days from the date of filing the case.
