Why doesn't Apple send a text message to display the number now?

Does it mean that the screen lock status will also display the short message content?

This can be changed in the Settings-Notification Center column.

There are three reminder styles: "No Banner Reminder"

You can choose none.

You can also see the "lock screen display" when you pull down. When you turn off this feature, you can't see the contents of the message.
