My family lives in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. There are four people in my family: my parents, my brother and me. 1937, July 7th Incident broke out, and my mother died in this year.

My family is poor in the city, and my father runs a small shop specializing in weddings and funerals. My mother died and my family was poor. I dropped out of school in the first grade and became an apprentice in a shop. But I like reading, and I have been teaching myself since I dropped out of school.

After the August 13th Incident, Japanese planes began to bomb Jianqiao Airport in Hangzhou. I 15 years old, have never seen the world, and I am not afraid. I often go to Huangcheng, a suburb of Hangzhou, with my friends to watch the air combat between Chinese and Japanese planes.

But I soon realized that the war had changed my life.

Because China army shot down a Japanese plane, the Japanese army began to attack Hangzhou. Father locked the door and began to run for his life like many people. My uncle and I fled to the Zhejiang-Jiangxi border and came to Guangxian.

People are running for their lives all the way, but at the same time, they often hear people sing "On the Songhua River" and "Knitting the Devil". What impressed me the most was the theme song "Graduation Song" of the movie "The Robbery of Peach and Plum": "Students, get up and bear the rise and fall of the world." (The old man couldn't help singing at this point, and his eyes were wet. )

I am 15 years old and have never been outside Hangzhou. On the way to escape, I felt a calm and powerful anti-Japanese sentiment, and I was very moved. I have only one belief in my heart: to participate in the war of resistance. 1939 In March, I read a notice in the newspaper that the government was recruiting technical soldiers. After the examinations of Chinese, mathematics and other cultural courses, I was admitted to the Army Automobile Corps and became a driver (first class soldier).

In Guilin, apart from general military training, there are also technical training: learning to drive, understanding the structure, name and function of auto parts, and going to the factory to watch auto assembly. Because there are few cars, the training time is short, and sometimes because the engine oil is not enough, we can only train in the car.

After the training, our main task is to drive people who send official documents to the war zone and various departments in Chongqing.

After serving, he joined China Transportation Company as an assistant in February. 194 1. At this time, the Japanese army occupied Vietnam and Hongkong, and the Yunnan-Myanmar Highway became the only channel for China to receive foreign aid. My company was requisitioned by the government and renamed as the Yunnan-Myanmar Railway Supervision Office to fully serve the Anti-Japanese War.

The company has set up four brigades, two in Lashio, Myanmar and two in China. I was invited to join the First Automobile Brigade as an assistant. Vehicle transportation is to transport materials and food to the railway construction team in Myitkyina.

194 1 July to1February, 942, I was in the locomotive crew, and I was responsible for vehicle safety alone. Because I don't know when the car will be repaired and there are no fixed working hours, it is common to go to work at three to five in the morning.

1March, 942, transferred to Lashou parking lot of Central Trust Bureau as a technician, responsible for vehicle transfer.

Because the Yunnan-Guizhou-Sichuan area is mainly transported by road, a large number of cars are needed. The cars aided by the United States were shipped to Myanmar, then assembled in Yangon, and finally sent to Lashio by local overseas Chinese organizations in Yangon for the Chinese side-at that time, I and two other staff members were responsible for picking up the cars.

1942 In April, the Japanese army occupied Thailand, and we retreated urgently. The three of us moved 1000 American trucks to China in more than two months. After liberation, he joined North China Automobile Company, and the central organ 1953 was restructured and assigned to the subordinate departments of the Ministry of Machinery to take charge of machinery. Later, he was transferred several times and retired at the end of February in the auto trade company under Huaxing Group Corporation.

I often read newspapers, and I have heard of them myself. For various reasons, some veterans fell into various difficulties in their later years. They need social recognition and comfort very much. They are "the living history of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression".

Not only the domestic anti-Japanese war veterans, but also I often think of those anti-Japanese war veterans who died abroad. Many of them have lost their souls, which makes me most sad.

Because of my status as a veteran of the Kuomintang, my son once lost the opportunity of promotion, and my daughter was embarrassed every time she filled out the form, but I had a pension and I was very satisfied.

In July of 20 13, I wrote a letter to the party organization, just to make sure that I was a "person who participated in the Anti-Japanese War" and wanted to wear the "Medal of Victory in the Anti-Japanese War".

But as a lucky survivor of the Anti-Japanese War, I feel that I should not have such selfish thoughts, and this letter has never been sent out.
