[Author] Liu Jun (462-521), named Xiaobiao, whose real name was Fawu, was from Pingyuan (now Shandong). He was from a poor family and loved to learn. If anyone had a different book, he would borrow it and read it. People at that time called him "book promiscuous". He once served as a Hucao in Jingzhou and joined the army. Later he lived in Ziyan Mountain in Dongyang and gave lectures on the spot. He once wrote annotations for "Shishuo Xinyu", quoting Hong Fu, and was highly regarded by later scholars. There are six volumes of collections, but they are not handed down today. The Ming Dynasty compiled a collection of "Liu Hu Cao Collection" in one volume.

[Appreciation] Emperor Wu of Liang Dynasty recruited scribes, and Liu Jun once wrote "Discrimination of Fate" to support his ambition. At that time, Moling made it difficult for Liu Mao to write a book after seeing the article, which caused a debate between the two. Letters flowed from time to time, and letters went back and forth, each holding his or her own opinions and voicing objections. We have been together for a little longer, and although we are critics of each other, we are actually literary friends. However, Liu Ma died before his last letter could be sent. In sympathy with each other, Liu Jun once again wrote this book for the deceased Liu Ma, and this time it was not for the sake of controversy, but just to express his endless grief. The letter narrates the story of Liu Bo's unfinished writing, and praises his former debate friend's articles, which are as brilliant as chrysanthemums in autumn and orchids in spring. Among them, "the sound emblem has not been sealed, but the person is dead; the green bamboo slips are still new, but the bamboo slips will be lined up", which exudes a strong sense of the vicissitudes of things and people. The letter is written with clear rhyme, elegant diction, and neat parallelism, just like the style of a parallel writer. Especially at the end of the letter, five or six allusions are used in one breath, which not only increases the connotation and capacity of the text message, but also deepens the feeling of nostalgia.
