What's wrong with not displaying the number on the phone?

If you use Huawei mobile phone and display an "unknown" number when you answer an incoming call, or display an "unknown" number in the call record, please troubleshoot according to the following scenarios:

1. All incoming calls are displayed as "unknown"

1. Please close the VoLTE HD call and restart the phone.

It may be that the operator network is not normal. Please turn off the VoLTE HD call switch, and turn off the path: go to Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Network, turn off the VoLTE HD call, restart the device, and check whether the caller ID is normal. Some new products don't have this switch, please skip this step. )

2. It is recommended that you clear dial-up or telephone data.

Reminder: Clearing the data and cache of dialing or phone calls will not delete the contact and phone records.

HarmonyOS system: enter settings, search and enter application management, and click four buttons > Display system program >; Phone > store > delete data;

EMUI9.0. 1 and the following: enter settings, search, enter application management, click three buttons > display system process > dial > store > delete data (select the first dial);

Emui 9.1/9.1.110.x/1.x: enter settings, search, enter application management, and click three buttons > display system flow > telephone.

Please insert the SIM card into other devices with normal caller ID for testing.

If the incoming call still shows "Unknown", please contact the operator:

(1) It is recommended that you contact the operator to confirm whether the caller ID function is enabled or consult the enabling method.

(2) It may be that the network didn't carry the number information when calling, so I suggest you contact the operator to confirm the solution.

Second, the personal calling number is displayed as "unknown"

Unknown numbers may be displayed for the following reasons. If in doubt, please consult the operator.

1. Maybe the other party made the call with VoIP software.

2. Some devices can set or use third-party software to block their own numbers and not send their own numbers.

3. The other party has handled relevant business in the operator department, so that the caller will not send his own number.

4. The other party called from abroad and sent the number to the calling party, but the information exchange between operators in different countries may be incompatible, which makes the number information lost in the transmission process and leads to the abnormal display of the incoming number.
