Where was the travel code developed?

The itinerary code is a public welfare itinerary inquiry service jointly launched by China ICT Institute, China Telecom, China Mobile and China Unicom under the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

Travel codes began to appear in February 2020. At first, it was a short message inquiry, then it was upgraded to a scan code inquiry, and then the travel code was upgraded to a national system.

The purpose of the national run-length encoding is to know everyone's itinerary, so as to judge whether everyone has been to the middle and high-risk areas of the epidemic. Through travel itinerary coding, people who fail to report and those who have been to epidemic areas can be found in time, and then necessary measures can be taken.

The working principle of the travel code is very simple, that is, by analyzing the signaling data and bill data of the mobile phone, we can judge which city base station we contacted.

In the process of using the mobile phone, whether talking, texting or surfing the Internet, you need to connect to the base station. The specific information of each base station, including the location and number, is clear to the operator.

Once you go to a place to surf the Internet or make a phone call, you will contact the base station, and then the base station will record the information. These data will be uploaded to the trip code system, and you can see where you have been in the last 14 days by scanning the code.
