In view of the current situation of epidemic prevention and control in COVID-19, in order to actively cooperate with the epidemic prevention and control work in the capital and fully protect the safety and health of all participants in the Grand Film Festival, it was decided to postpone the 27th Beijing International Film Festival, which was originally scheduled to be held in Beijing from April 6 to April 25, 2008, after consultation with the guiding units, organizers, organizers and experts from all walks of life.

The main competition unit, student competition unit (including "International College Student Original Film Competition" and "Youth Script and Creation Competition"), academic forum (including "International Film Academic Forum", "Young Scholars Forum" and "International movie master Workshop") and screening exchange of this year's College Student Film Festival were postponed at the same time.

Founded in 1993, the Beijing University Student Film Festival is held every spring and has become a world-renowned film festival. Every event attracts a large number of film professionals such as directors, producers and actors, as well as college students, and also produces a large number of excellent domestic films.

Activity information

Announcement of solicitation for main competition unit

1. Film selection scope: domestic films produced after March 2008, which have not participated in previous college student film festivals, have been approved by the Central Propaganda Department (State Film Bureau) and obtained the distribution and screening license. The subject matter is not limited, and the duration is more than 80 minutes.

2. Deadline for registration: March 2008 10 (subject to all the registration materials received by the Organizing Committee).

3. Application materials: mail/express (or directly submit) 2 full-length DVD discs and 1 print the application form (stamped with the official seal of the company) to the office of the organizing committee of the film festival.

1. Download the registration form. All application materials will not be returned.

2. At the end of March 2008, the shortlist was published on the official website of the festival ().

3. After receiving the shortlisted notice, the short-listed film registration agency shall provide the Organizing Committee with 2 short-listed films (DVD discs or AVI and MOV information discs), 3 electronic stills, electronic movie posters 10-20, printed movie posters and other corresponding publicity materials as soon as possible for publicity and honorary awards.

4. The shortlisted film registration agency shall send the film screening media to the organizing committee of the film festival before April 3, 2008.

5. All shortlisted films must be screened at least twice, once by the judges and once at the main venue of the film festival (China Film Archive Art Theatre). Failure to pass the above two screening will be considered as disqualification.

6. The Organizing Committee welcomes the short-listed film crew to meet and discuss with college students at the film festival venue and the screening venue, and carry out academic exchange activities. The organizing Committee will make arrangements and contact you by phone for specific matters.
