Huawei announced the global version of EMUI 12, which will be fully upgraded, claiming that HarmonyOS and Android are integrated.

Recently, Huawei released EMUI 12 operating system, which brought many new functions, UI design and brand-new user experience, and its performance was better than EMUI 1 1. After the introduction of HarmonyOS OS, Huawei's previous EMUI seems to be suspended. However, Huawei released EMUI 12 in official website, confirming that EMUI is still under development, but it seems to be only applicable to the global market, and the domestic system is HarmonyOS OS.

The latest version of EMUI looks very similar to Huawei's HarmonyOS system 2.0. Huawei EMUI 12 claims that HarmonyOS OS and Android are integrated. Huawei EMUI 12 chose three color formats: black, white and blue. Compared with EMUI 1 1, it has cleaner appearance and more novel animation. It is said that they imitate the movement of celestial bodies in the universe, support stepless font thickness adjustment, and can customize font size and thickness.

In order to facilitate users to access photos and documents in mobile phones on MateBook, EMUI 12 is equipped with a brand-new "distributed file system". Huawei claims that users can now access files on their mobile phones immediately without cables.

Finally, EMUI 12 brings the support of cross-device video calling. Using MeeTime's cross-device video calling function, Huawei mobile phones running EMUI 12 will be able to seamlessly transfer video calls to Huawei Vision TV. Generally speaking, EMUI 12 has added some HarmonyOS system functions besides UI changes, but the upgradeable models have not been announced.

Another good news is that Huawei may plan to launch another foldable smartphone this year. According to the latest news from Weibo sources, the company may launch a new folding mobile phone at the end of 20021. Nevertheless, this device may still be a 4G mobile phone, just like the recently launched P50 device.
