What should I do if the WeChat prompt is turned on but there is no sound?

If you are using a Huawei mobile phone and there is no ringtone reminder for messages coming from WeChat, please try the following methods to solve the problem:

1. Please check whether the system volume switch is in mute state. If so, Silent status, please adjust to ring.

2. Please check whether the Do Not Disturb mode is turned on on your phone.

3. Open WeChat-Me-Settings-Do Not Disturb mode and check whether the switch is turned on.

4. Turn on the notification function of the system

EMUI5. Notification method (display notifications in status bar, banner, lock screen), select prompt sound;

EMUI8. You need to turn on the notification method (display notifications in the status bar, banner, and lock screen) and select the prompt sound;

After clicking this prompt box, you can set whether your phone responds to WeChat. Messages are muted.

6. Enter Settings > System (System and Updates) > Reset > Restore all settings. After clicking Restore all settings, confirm twice and click Restore all settings again; if a lock screen password is set, you need to Enter the lock screen password to confirm before confirming again.

Warm reminder:

The path for EMUI 5.0 is Settings > Advanced Settings > Backup and Reset. When using reset settings, the switch of the app clone will be turned off, causing the data of the app clone to be lost. Please back up the clone application data before performing this operation.

After restoring all settings, when setting up face or fingerprint unlocking, you need to enter the App Lock password to verify the binding. If you forget your App Lock password, please try to retrieve it.

7. If you have turned on the above settings and there is still no ring reminder, it may be that the WeChat application has its own logic abnormality causing such problems.
