The social security card belongs to the Agricultural Bank of China. Can I apply for exemption from annual fee and SMS fee?

The annual fee and account management fee (including small account management fee) are exempted for the contracted accounts that pay wages, subsistence allowances, medical insurance, pension, unemployment insurance and housing provident fund.

Local branches have different regulations on social security card no message service. For example, Beijing Branch clearly stipulates that social security cards are free for customers who pay social insurance benefits. Branches that are not exempted are charged according to the standard of ordinary accounts and cannot be exempted.

If a customer's bank account (excluding credit card) opened in China Agricultural Bank does not enjoy the exemption of account management fee (including small account management fee) and annual fee, the account designated by the customer (excluding credit card and VIP account) will be exempted from annual fee and account management fee (including small account management fee, the same below) according to the customer's application. If the customer fails to apply, the annual fee and account management fee will be exempted for the only account (excluding credit card and VIP account) opened by the customer in China Agricultural Bank.
