In order to promote the establishment of a regional tourism demonstration zone in our province, recently, the Office of the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism issued the Notice on the Selection of Provincial Tourism and Leisure Blocks in Shanxi Province in 2022 (hereinafter referred to as the Notice), and made specific arrangements for the declaration, evaluation and review of provincial tourism and leisure blocks.

According to the notice, in 2022, the application conditions of provincial-level tourist and leisure blocks in Shanxi Province mainly include: blocks that meet the national standards of Classification of Tourist and Leisure Blocks (LB/T082-202 1) and Detailed Rules for Scoring Tourist and Leisure Blocks in Shanxi Province (for Trial Implementation) will be declared as provincial-level tourist and leisure blocks; Holiday facilities in tourist and leisure blocks are relatively concentrated, with good operating conditions, sound tourism public information service system, high comprehensive satisfaction of tourists, and high visibility and brand influence in the province; The main business entities have no record of serious violations of laws and regulations in the past three years, and no major tourism safety accidents have occurred in the past three years.

It is worth noting that all tourist and leisure blocks should prepare application materials and conduct self-evaluation according to the Classification of Tourist and Leisure Blocks (LB/T082-202 1) and the Detailed Rules for the Evaluation of Tourist and Leisure Blocks in Shanxi Province (Trial), and declare that the self-evaluation of provincial tourist and leisure blocks in Shanxi Province in 2022 should reach 700 points or more.

The Notice clearly stipulates that certification shall be organized according to the procedure of "material review-basic evaluation-on-site inspection-deliberation-publicity-announcement". After receiving the application materials, the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism hired experts from the provincial capital evaluation committee to make a basic evaluation of the provincial tourist resorts. After the basic evaluation is passed, the on-site inspection and evaluation can be organized in a timely manner according to the application of the municipal cultural tourism bureaus.

The notice stressed that the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism will timely organize a third party to conduct an annual review of 47 provincial-level tourist resorts in our province in accordance with the requirements and detailed rules of the Measures for the Administration of the Grades of Tourist Resorts and the National Standards for the Classification of Tourist Resorts, focusing on the comprehensive review of the provincial-level tourist resorts with unsatisfactory results in the previous year and newly assessed. According to the evaluation results, some provincial-level tourist resorts with stagnant development, chaotic management and extreme shortage of funds will be cancelled.
