The ancient Songshan Mountain began 3.6 billion years ago and is called the ancestor of Wanshan Mountain. With the geological wonders of "five generations under one roof", it is known as "Natural geological museum" and "Encyclopedia of Earth Science". There are Han Sanque, the oldest ritual building in China, Shaolin Temple, the ancestral hall of Zen Buddhism, Zhongyue Temple, the birthplace of Taoism, Songyang Academy, one of the four major academies in Song Dynasty, the oldest brick tower in China, and the oldest and best astronomical building stargazing platform in China.
