Then why don't Apple iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone 1 1 Pro, which also use Samsung OLED screens, have information screen display function? Mainly because the information screen display is not completely dead. Because its principle is to use the characteristic that the organic light-emitting diode screen displays black and does not emit light, when most pixels on the screen are off, only a few pixels are used to display information, so it saves more electricity than when the screen is on. But also, even if a few pixels are turned on, this function needs power consumption.

Android phones such as Samsung S20 are equipped with large-capacity batteries of about 4000mAh, so even if the information screen display function is turned on, the increased power will not affect the overall battery life of the mobile phone. Even if the information screen is turned on all day, the extra power consumption is only about 10%. However, the battery capacity of Apple's mobile phone is small. Take iPhone 1 1 Pro as an example, its battery is only 3 190mAh, which is smaller than most Android phones. Although the iOS system saves more power than the Android system, under normal circumstances, even if the battery of the Apple mobile phone is smaller, the battery life will not be too bad. However, the information screen display function has nothing to do with the system. As long as there are pixels on the screen, it will definitely consume excess power. If a function that is not particularly necessary affects the overall battery life of the iPhone, it will not be worth the candle.

Therefore, in order to save electricity and battery life, Apple did not learn from Samsung and added the information screen display function to the iPhone. Perhaps in the future, the size of Apple's mobile phone will continue to grow, and similar functions will be added after accommodating a larger battery!
