After signing up, the brothers and sisters of the debate team will send you a message to inform you of the interview time and place, and then you can pack your clothes and come for an interview.

College club interviews are relatively easy and simple, the dress code is not high, it is good to be neat and clean, the etiquette is not too formal, and it is good to be generous.

But don't underestimate these simple basic things. After all, many people still don't know how to interview, how to perform well in the interview, and then they are ruthlessly eliminated if they don't perform well in the interview.

In the past, most of the interviews of debate teams were divided into two rounds. The first round is self-introduction, introducing your personal personality characteristics, whether extroversion or introversion, or a special type of personality split, which can be described.

Then there is the ability to show, which is why you are recruited into the debate team. If you have a skill, please show it boldly. For example, if you can tell jokes, then the debate team may have a unique affection for the players, so you will be easily selected to participate in the second round.

Moreover, it is a personal honor achievement, depending on personal experience. Some people have been exposed to debate in high school, so they have some experience and know the rules and skills of debate, so it is easy to join the debate team.

The second round of interviews is only eligible to enter after passing the first round, and the second round is generally the actual combat part.

Freshmen are in the classroom, preparing for a mock debate. At this time, brothers and sisters will write down arguments on the blackboard, such as whether there is pure friendship between men and women, the depth/breadth of college students' participation in practical activities, and the personality/unity of university dormitories is more important.

Then choose the pros and cons, 4 people on each side, start a team competition, and take your positions according to a simple division of labor.

Then, we have a brief discussion, interpret the debate, set questions, summarize and so on. After the discussion is finished within the specified time, the debate will begin.

Small fresh meats have been interviewed for two rounds, however, the nature of these two rounds is different.

The first round is mainly about brushing people, and there are often many people participating in the interview debate team, so some people need to be eliminated.

The most basic requirement is the standard of Putonghua. The Mandarin here at least requires people to understand it, but they can't help being unclear. Freshmen who seriously fail to meet the standard of Putonghua are likely to be brushed off.

Secondly, mentality is a very important issue. No matter what your personality type is, at least you should have a good attitude when communicating with the judges, express your thoughts and opinions boldly, and be not nervous or timid, which will also affect the judges' evaluation of you.

Finally, arrogant freshmen are often filtered, and the debate team is a team. No matter how many honors and awards you have won before, they are all in the past. You can talk about them appropriately, but don't brag too much. If you have outstanding ability, brothers and sisters will pay attention in the second round to verify whether your former glory is consistent with your current performance.

The second round is mainly about selecting people. Because the second round is a practical link, in which you will amplify your strengths and weaknesses.

The judges mainly look at three aspects:

How strong is everyone present's expressive ability, dare to speak and express their ideas;

What was the reaction in the debate? Throw the opposite question, how to answer it;

What is the analytical power of the case? Analyze the arguments put forward by the other party and debunk the other party's arguments.

Here are three abilities that freshmen should have to become debaters.

After the final interview, three kinds of people will join the debate team. One is excellent, and excellent performance must be retained;

One is a person with potential, although not strong, but with great potential, which can be cultivated the day after tomorrow and will stay;

The last one is a learner, who is average in all aspects, but has a strong interest in debate, which can be transformed into learning ability, and this one will stay.
