How does Word add hyperlinks?

If you Enter "http://" at the beginning, Word will automatically convert the URL into a link when you press the space bar or Enter.

If you want to link from "friendly text" in a document, the quickest way is to copy the address to the clipboard first:

1. Copy the address from the address bar of the browser.

2. Go to the document in Word and select the text to create a link.

3. press ctrl+K.

4. Paste the address and press Enter.

5. If you want to change the link later, right-click it and select Edit Hyperlink.
