How to treat the military confrontation between Russia and Ukraine?

The nature of the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine in the Kerch Strait is still very serious, because in the past, despite the constant contradictions and frictions between the two sides, there were actually many direct military confrontation actions, but such public arrest of ships, including shooting and collision, was really rare in the past.

Especially in important and very sensitive strategic locations, the relationship between the two sides will definitely deteriorate further. However, some people think that a larger military conflict may break out between Russia and Ukraine now. I don't think this is possible.

Next, both sides may take some control measures. Although Ukraine has made a very tough stance and said a lot of very tough words, the Russian side also said that this is your invasion of my territory. I have taken necessary measures and my attitude is very tough. Nevertheless, under the appeal of the international community, especially the United Nations, both sides were able to exercise restraint. I am afraid that NATO, especially the United States, will adopt some positions and attitudes in support of Ukraine, but it will not go too far on this issue.

It is estimated that in the next step, Ukraine and Russia may have to sit down and talk about solving the current difficult situation, such as releasing ships and personnel. This situation is entirely possible. And I don't think this time will be long, in order to avoid this upgrade. Therefore, the situation is not out of control, but contradictions and frictions between the two sides. Around the Crimean Peninsula issue, around the Kerch Strait issue, and around the situation in eastern Ukraine, I am afraid that the confrontation will be further intensified. From this perspective, it is still difficult to cool down several hot spots around Ukraine in the future.
