The difference between sim800a and sim800l

SIM800A and SIM800L are two different GSM/GPRS modules. The main differences are in the following aspects:

1. Power supply: SIM800L has a wider operating voltage range and can operate at 3.4V It works normally with a voltage of ~4.4V, but SIM800A needs to provide a power supply of 4.0~4.4V to work properly.

2. Size: SIM800L is smaller than SIM800A, making it easier to carry and integrate. SIM800L is 24.0mm×24.0mm, SIM800A is 24.0mm×24.0mm×3.0mm.

3. Antenna interface: SIM800L uses IPEX antenna interface, while SIM800A uses standard SMA antenna interface.

4. Power consumption: Relatively speaking, SIM800L has slightly lower power consumption, so it is more suitable for some low-power application scenarios.
