What are the contents of mobile phone signaling data?

Mobile phone data can generally be divided into two types:

One is MobileCDRData, which reflects the strength of information contact between cities through the frequency and duration of calls between mobile phone users;

The other is mobile signaling data, that is, the spatial position of mobile phone users can be determined through the information exchange between base stations, and the space-time trajectory of people flow can be recorded relatively accurately. Comparatively speaking, the latter is more meaningful for planning research.

Mobile phone users will record signaling data as long as they switch on or off, talk, short message, location update and switch base stations. Cell phone signaling data has the following characteristics:

First, the sample is large, the coverage is wide, and the user holding rate is high, which can better reflect the temporal and spatial law of people flow behavior;

Second, anonymous data, good security, no personal attribute information, does not involve personal privacy;

Third, involuntary data, the information passively provided by users can not interfere with the survey results; Fourthly, it is dynamic, real-time and continuous, which can accurately reflect the spatial position of mobile phone users at different time points in a continuous period of time, making it possible to quantitatively describe the crowd flow trajectory in the region.
