Why can't Apple phones save GIF pictures?

Apple doesn't support viewing gif moving pictures due to the ios system.

Step 2: How to watch Gif pictures on iPhone?

If it is a Gif picture, you can't see the animation effect in the photo preview. If you want to see the animation effect, you can click the * * * Enjoy button in the lower left corner, as shown in the figure.
