First of all, he believes that at present, the national private education and training industry has shown a situation in which giants and regional leaders coexist. Why this happens is related to the development cycle of the industry and the survival stage of the enterprise. We can look at it from two aspects:

1) According to the industry cycle, the 1980s was the beginning of the private education and training market in China. After more than 30 years of development, it is now in the reshuffle period of the industry. With the intensification of competition, the living space of small and medium-sized education and training enterprises is further squeezed, and some leading enterprises quickly occupy the market through mergers and acquisitions, and the market concentration is improved. For example, Puxin Education acquired 48 schools in three years, thus rapidly expanding and integrating; In the past, giant companies were strong and their integration intensified.

2) From the perspective of enterprise scale, extracurricular training institutions are obviously stratified, and a single institution with a scale of less than one million yuan accounts for half of the industry.

K 12 Domestic educational institutions are divided into five categories according to the scale and distribution of revenue: Big Mac, vassal state, local tiger, big landlord and ant soldier.

Big Mac refers to leading enterprises in first-tier cities with annual revenue exceeding 500 million yuan. They are all over the country, leading the development direction of extracurricular tutoring in China K 12. Representative organizations include New Oriental, Good Future, Xueda Education and Longwen Education.

The vassal state represents the leading enterprises in the provincial capital, with an annual revenue of 65.438+0.5 billion yuan. More than 80% of the business comes from the first-line core cities, such as Gaosi Education, Longmen Education, Bond Education and other institutions.

Toutou Lake is a provincial second-and third-tier city, with annual income ranging from 1 100 million to 1000 million. Its business is mainly in a certain field, including concave-convex education, Jiayi education and other institutions.

Big landlords refer to those who have grown up in first-and second-tier cities, or are outstanding in third-and fourth-tier cities below the provincial capital, or colleges that have certain competitiveness in a certain discipline, a certain region and a certain business, such as Wuhan University's extensive knowledge and liberal arts English.

Ant soldiers refer to a large number of small-scale institutions with an annual income of less than one million yuan, which are spread all over cities in all walks of life. Such institutions account for half of the teaching and training industry.

In addition to the coexistence of giants and regional leaders, Mr. Gao Xida believes that there will be dimension reduction attacks in the future, and the national K 12 enterprises will quickly penetrate into third-and fourth-tier cities.
