Is it illegal to send mass marketing short messages?

Mass texting itself is not illegal. At present, the law has no restrictions in this regard.

Five types of short messages are illegal. Specifically including:

Sending illegal short messages on mobile phones in the name of counterfeit banks and UnionPay, defrauding or extorting public or private property;

Spreading gambling, violence, murder, terror or abetting or teaching criminal methods;

Illegal sale of guns, ammunition, explosives, smuggled cars, drugs, ecstasy, counterfeit money, wigs, tickets, or knowing that they are stolen goods obtained from crime;

Publish fake prizes, fake matchmaking, fake recruitment, etc. ;

Sending content that interferes with the normal life of others for many times and contains other prohibited provisions of the Constitution, laws and administrative regulations.
