How long does it take to hear an economic dispute case?

The judgment time of economic dispute cases shall be determined according to the specific circumstances, as follows:

1, economic dispute cases shall be tried by summary procedure, and generally concluded within three months from the date of filing; The people's court shall conclude the case by summary procedure within three months from the date of filing the case;

2. If ordinary procedures are applied, the case will generally be concluded within six months from the date of filing the case. A case tried by the people's court through ordinary procedures shall be concluded within six months from the date of filing the case. If there are special circumstances that need to be extended, it can be extended for six months with the approval of the president of our hospital; If an extension is needed, it shall be reported to the people's court at a higher level for approval.

Legal basis: Article 278 of the Civil Procedure Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) stipulates that if the parties have an arbitration clause in the contract or reach a written arbitration agreement afterwards and submit it to a foreign-related arbitration institution or other arbitration institution in People's Republic of China (PRC) for arbitration, the parties may not bring a suit in a people's court.

If the parties have no arbitration clause in the contract or fail to reach a written arbitration agreement afterwards, they may bring a suit in a people's court.

Article 24

A lawsuit brought in connection with a contract dispute shall be under the jurisdiction of the people's court in the place where the defendant has his domicile or where the contract is performed.

Article 25

A lawsuit arising from an insurance contract dispute shall be under the jurisdiction of the people's court where the defendant has his domicile or where the subject matter insured is located.

Article 26

A lawsuit brought over a bill dispute shall be under the jurisdiction of the people's court of the place where the bill was paid or the defendant's domicile.

Article 27

Lawsuits arising from disputes such as company establishment, shareholder qualification confirmation, profit distribution and dissolution shall be under the jurisdiction of the people's court of the company's domicile.
