Enlightenment from the old mage: What if there are Buddha statues in the old calendar?

Buddha statue, bodhisattva statue, deity, etc. They are faded, outdated or damaged, which does not affect our beliefs, but they can also be worshipped (including the statues of the heavens). For example, Guan Yu belongs to Galand Bodhisattva in Buddhism and is also a protector. Because the Buddha and Bodhisattva are still there, we disciples should not be disgusted. Imagine if it is "parents are old, their clothes are discolored, and their health is failing. Let's throw them away!" What about the statement? What is the difference between Buddha and Bodhisattva and their parents? Parents give us life, but we can only live in chaos; Buddha and Bodhisattva gave us wisdom, which enabled us to be enlightened, transcend samsara, and not enter the six ways. This kindness is greater than that of our parents.

Therefore, once the statues, statues or portraits of Buddha and Bodhisattva are old, incomplete or damaged, or we don't want to offer them, or we can't offer them for other reasons such as moving or going abroad, the treatment methods are as follows:

1. First of all, you can ask your friends or lay people around you if they need it and give it to your friends. Becoming attached to Buddha is also a good thing. Of course, some people don't know enough and don't want to accept the Buddha statues offered by others. Although it was a misunderstanding, there is no need to force it.

2. The best way is to send it to a nearby temple and ask the monks in the temple to handle it on their behalf;

3. Or ask the layman in the temple legal department to transfer it.

If there is no temple nearby, it can also be sent to the nearby mountain. The higher the better, it is best to put it under a big tree or a stone wall, and it is upright. It has its own land of mountain gods and the protection of passing gods. This is what the so-called "where there are Buddha statues, there must be protectors" means.

Of course, if you can't bear to use it or you may need it later, you can also wrap it in red cloth and box it (don't put it upside down) and store it in the living room, study, attic and other places. Don't press anything else on it to keep our respect.
