It is fraud to say that census workers ask for property, SMS verification code and account password information through SMS, telephone and online social tools on the grounds of census!

It is understood that the census is conducted once every 10, and it has been successfully conducted six times since the founding of New China. The census not only found out the total population, but also the distribution and structure of the population, which also provided a basis for perfecting and formulating employment and education policies. The census taker will carry out the household work in two links, namely, registration and mapping. This is also the first time that residents can choose to report by themselves.

This census mainly investigates the basic situation of households and population. Including ID number, name, age, sex, education level, nationality, occupation, industry, marriage and childbirth, migration and mobility, death, housing situation, etc. In order to improve the quality of census data, this census will collect the ID number of the census object for the first time for data comparison to ensure the accuracy and authenticity of the data.

So far, six national censuses have been conducted, namely 1964, 1953, 1990, 1982, 2000 and 20 10. The significance of population census lies in that it is a scientific method widely used by countries all over the world to collect population data, and it is the main source of basic population data in China. The census mainly investigates the basic situation of households and population, including: age, gender, education level, nationality, occupation, industry, social security, migration, death, marriage and childbirth, housing, etc. The population census targets natural persons living in People's Republic of China (PRC) (China).
