Start using.

■ Install SIM card and battery.

■ Functions that can be used when the SIM card is not inserted.

■ Make a phone call

1. Enter the phone number, and the area code can be added before the fixed phone number code.

To make an international call to 1, press * twice to enter the international phone code.

To enter a list of dialed phones, press the call key once in standby mode. To dial a phone number, select the desired number or last name, and then press the call key.

One-button dialing

Assign the phone number to a speed dial key from 2 to 9. See "Speed Dialing" on page 3 1. Then, you can dial the push-to-dial number in any of the following ways:

Enhanced voice-activated dialing

You can make a call by saying the name stored in the phone address book. Voice commands depend on the language. To set the language, see Speech Recognition Language in "Phone Settings" on page 40.

Note: It may be difficult to use voice-activated tags in noisy environment or emergency. Therefore, under no circumstances should you rely entirely on the voice-activated dialing function.

Communication ability

1. In standby mode, press and hold the right selection key or volume reduction key. The mobile phone will give a short prompt tone and display please speak.

2. Speak voice commands clearly. If the speech recognition is successful, the matching list will be displayed on the screen. The phone will play the voice command matching the item at the top of the list. If the result is not what you want, please scroll to another match.

Using voice commands to perform the selected mobile phone functions is similar to voice dialing. Please refer to the voice commands in "Personal Shortcuts" on page 35.

■ Answer or refuse to answer incoming calls.

To answer an incoming call, press the call key or open the slider. To end the call, press the end key or close the slider.

To refuse to answer the phone, press the end key. To mute the ringing tone, select Silent.

call waiting

To answer a waiting call in an ongoing call

(network service), please press the call button. The first call will be held. To end the current call, press the end key.

■ Standby option

Many of the options you can use in a call are network services. Please check with your service provider to see if you have provided the required service.

When making a call, select Actions to use the following options:

Call options include mute or unmute, total recall, menu, keyboard lock, recording, voiceless, speaker or mobile phone.

Network service options include answering or rejecting, holding or continuing the call, calling the other party, joining the conference call, hanging up, hanging up all, and the following options:

Send Multi-Tone—Send Dual Tone Multi-Tone.

Switch Call—Switches between the current call and the call on hold.

Transfer Call—Connect the held call to the current call and disconnect yourself from both calls.

Input character

According to the different mobile phone sales market, the available input methods preset in mobile phones are also different.

This phone supports simplified Chinese input method.

■ Choose a writing language

If the phone supports the required writing language, you can change the writing language. Select the operation, or press and hold #, and then select the writing language and the desired language.

■ Input method indicator

The indicator of the currently selected input method will be displayed in the upper left corner of the screen:

■ Switch input method

To switch between available input methods, do one of the following:

Press # repeatedly until the indicator of the required input method appears in the upper left corner of the screen.

Select an operation (for example, when writing information), and then select the desired input method.

■ Pinyin input method

Pinyin letters are marked on the number keys. You don't need to consider the position of the pinyin letters on the number keys, just press the number keys where the pinyin letters are located. The phone will provide a reasonable combination of spelling letters.

Use pinyin input method to input Chinese characters:

1. Just press the numeric keys with the required pinyin letters, and you can enter the spelling letters ("ü" corresponds to "V" on the keyboard and screen).

2. Press 1 repeatedly until the desired tone is displayed on the screen.

3. Press * to display the next possible pinyin combination. Scroll to the desired Chinese character, and then select OK.

■ Stroke input method

The stroke input method divides the strokes that make up Chinese characters into five categories: horizontal, vertical, left, dot and folding.

The strokes are divided into five categories, as shown in the following table:

These five strokes correspond to five numeric keys 1 to 5 respectively.

Use stroke input method:

1. Please input strokes according to the standard stroke order of Chinese characters and the corresponding number keys.

Tip: If you are not sure about the stroke to be entered or the class to which the stroke belongs.

Otherwise, you can press 6 instead of this stroke, and then continue to enter other strokes. A question mark ("?" ) will be used in the input area. ) means painting.

■ Enter a phrase

You can enter up to seven common phrases of Chinese characters at a time.

4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 as needed, and input the pinyin syllables or the first pinyin of all Chinese characters in the phrase.

Use separators to separate phonetic alphabet strings or strokes of different Chinese characters.

Sometimes it is not necessary to use a separator when using pinyin input method, because the mobile phone can recognize two pinyin syllables and automatically insert a separator in the middle. For example, to enter the phrase "color", press 2,

The possible combinations of pinyin letters and separators (if any) that you enter are associated with Chinese characters or Chinese character strings that can form common phrases. Create a phrase

You can create your own phrases, up to seven Chinese characters, and store them in the database of your mobile phone. 1. When the list of input symbols or associated words is not displayed on the screen, select Operation >; User phrase > add.

2. Enter the required phrase, and then select OK.

■ China Chinese Characters Association

The mobile phone can associate a Chinese character string or Chinese character that can form a common word with the last Chinese phrase or Chinese character you input. Select the desired Chinese character or phrase from the list of related words or phrases. The mobile phone will continue to associate the next Chinese character string or Chinese character according to the Chinese character or phrase you choose. If you don't need associated Chinese characters or phrases, you can choose to return to end the association.

■ Repeated input

■ Traditional English input method

Press the number keys 1 to 9 repeatedly until the desired character appears on the screen.

Not all the characters that can be entered by pressing this key are marked on the number keys. The characters that can be entered depend on the selected writing language. See section.

"Choosing a Writing Language" on page 1 1.

If the next letter you want to enter happens to be on the same key as the current letter, please wait for the cursor to appear again, or you can quickly press any navigation key to confirm the current letter and then continue to enter the next letter.

Press the number keys 1 to enter some of the most commonly used punctuation marks and special characters.

For more information about entering text, please refer to "Introduction to Entering Text" on page 15.

■ Turn predictive English input method on and off.

When the writing language is English, select Operation >; Open the predictive input method and start the predictive English input method. To turn off the predictive English input method, select Actions >; Close the predictive input method.

■ Expected English input method

With predictive English input method, you can input all the letters in the required English words by pressing the corresponding number keys. Imagine that the English input method is based on the built-in thesaurus, and you can also add new words to the thesaurus.

1. Press the number keys 2 to 9 to start typing words. You only need to press the key once to enter each letter.

2. After typing a word and confirming its correctness, you can press 0 to insert a space for confirmation.

If the word is not what you want, press * repeatedly until the desired word appears and confirm; Or optional operation >; Other corresponding projects and if necessary.

You can read, write, send and save.

Text messages, multimedia messages, e-mail, voice messages and instant messages. All information is stored in folders.

■ Text information

Through short message service (SMS), you can send and receive text messages.

You must store the information center number in your mobile phone before sending any SMS or SMS e-mail. See section.

"Information Settings" on page 26.

Please ask your service provider whether you provide SMS e-mail service and how to apply. To store e-mail addresses in the address book, see "Store Details" on page 29.

Your mobile phone supports sending short messages with characters exceeding the limit of a single short message. Messages with more characters than the limit will be sent as two or more interlocking messages. Your service provider may charge accordingly. Characters with accents or other symbols, as well as characters entered with some language options (such as Chinese), will take up more space, thus limiting the number of characters that can be sent in a single message.

The indicator at the top of the screen will show the total number of characters that can still be entered and what is needed when sending.
