Lexus is about to recall some CT200h, which is a hidden danger of insufficient power.

Recently, we learned from the announcement issued by the State Administration of Market Supervision that Toyota Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recall and the Measures for the Implementation of the Regulations on the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recall. It is decided to recall some imported Lexus CT (view transaction price | model details) 200h hybrid electric vehicles produced from February 9 to April 7 of 2002/kloc-0 from July 3/0/day, totaling 948 vehicles.

For the vehicles within the scope of this recall, due to the insufficient anti-electromagnetic noise interference performance of the control panel of the inverter power conversion module of the hybrid power system, the power control circuit may misjudge the electromagnetic noise generated when the voltage of the high-voltage circuit changes as a system abnormality and temporarily stop working. During this period, the power supply voltage decreases, the engine warning light lights up, and the vehicle may lose its driving force instantly, which may increase the risk of collision with the following vehicle in extreme cases, posing a safety hazard.

Toyota Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd. will inspect the inverters for the vehicles within the recall scope, and replace and improve the qualified inverters for the vehicles with defects free of charge, so as to eliminate potential safety hazards. (Photo/Text: Liu Yunqing) @20 19
