What should I do if I suspect that the gas facilities in my home are leaking?

If the user finds that the monthly gas consumption in the home is abnormal (the gas consumption exceeds the normal range), or suspects that the gas facilities in the home are leaking or slightly overflowing, please call 3268228 as soon as possible to make an appointment for our security personnel to visit and check the leakage. Avoid the waste of resources caused by gas overflow, and also avoid major accidents caused by gas leakage!

How to check whether the gas facilities leak by themselves?

Method 1: Stir the foam with detergent water, and evenly spread the foam on the suspected air leakage place (hose, connector, pipe joint, plug valve, etc.). If there is air leakage, the detergent will bubble. If the coating foam is not blown up, it means that there is no air leakage at the inspection place.

Method 2: First, write down the bottom reading of the gas meter (cumulative gas consumption of the gas meter). Stop using natural gas 1 hour and check the reading at the bottom of the gas meter again. If the bottom reading automatically increases without reason, it means there is air leakage; If the reading at the bottom of the instrument does not change, there is no air leakage.

How to deal with natural gas leakage?

If you find a natural gas leak, please keep calm! As long as the following four measures are taken quickly, safety accidents can be avoided in time!

First: close the main valve of natural gas.

Before natural gas enters thousands of households, gas companies will add special smells and irritating smells as warning smells. If you smell a pungent smell or feel dizzy and headache, or if you suspect a natural gas leak. Decisively close the main valve to prevent the diffusion of natural gas in the house and increase the concentration of natural gas in the house.

If you are cooking, remember to turn off the valve on the stove.

Remember to turn off the water heater if you are taking a bath.

Second: open the doors and windows quickly.

When natural gas leakage is found, the next step after closing the main gate is to open the door and open the window for ventilation, so that the natural gas in the home can be distributed as soon as possible and the indoor natural gas concentration can be reduced.

It is forbidden to use all fire sources.

When gas leakage is suspected, don't turn on the light, make a phone call, ring the doorbell, put on a sweater, etc. And will not generate static electricity or sparks.

Especially open flames, such as lighters, some people like to smoke when they are in a hurry and unconsciously take out their lighters.

Evacuate quickly and call for help outdoors.

After completing the above steps, please evacuate to the outside quickly and call the gas company to report the case, and the gas company will quickly dispatch personnel for emergency repair.
