How to eliminate red spots in iOS 16 information application?

Some users reported that on devices running iOS 16 or later, red dots appeared in the information application, but unread information could not be seen when the application was opened. How should this situation be solved?

You can try the following methods:

1. Please ask Siri to read the information.

If the amount of unread information prompted by the red dot is small, you can ask Siri to help you read the unread information. For example, say to Siri, Hey Siri, help me read unread information. Then wait for Siri to finish reading the information.

2. Set unread information

Manually set several pieces of read information as unread, and then manually select one or two pieces to view and make them read. Finally, in the unread information, select all the information and read all the unread information with one click.

3. Set the information retention time

Please note: This method will delete all information before 30 days. If you still need this information, please do not operate and refer to other methods.

Open iPhone Settings-Messages-Keep Information, set the value of information retention time to 30 days, and then return to the information application to view the refreshed unread information.

4. Turn off information notification

If the number of little red dot tips is too large to be cleared by the above methods, you can consider turning off the information notification.

Open iPhone Settings-Notifications, find the information application, and then turn off notification rights.
