Why can't leaders comment on the message board and the parties can see the comments?

The leadership message board is the only national message board for leading cadres in China. It has set up message pages for more than 60 secretaries and governors and thousands of local and county-level party and government officials for netizens to leave messages to reflect their problems, for leading cadres to consult at any time and to smooth public opinion.

The leadership message board was established in 2006. It is an online mass work platform built by People's Daily and People's Network for the main responsible comrades of the central ministries and commissions and local party committees and governments at all levels. The majority of netizens express their demands, reflect problems and put forward opinions and suggestions to the leading cadres at the provincial, city and county levels, and the local party and government leading cadres and local message handling units handle and reply. A variety of message channels such as PC website, mobile website, APP client, WeChat official account and SMS have been opened.
