What is the theme of the 2021 National Legal Awareness Day?

December 4, 2021 is the 21st National Legal Propaganda Day. This year’s theme is to be guided by the thought of the rule of law and unswervingly follow the path of socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics.

The "Fourth Five-Year Plan of the Central Propaganda Department and the Ministry of Justice on Carrying out Legal Publicity and Education among Citizens" forwarded by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council in mid-2001 determined that the implementation date of my country's current Constitution will be That is, December 4th is the annual National Legal Propaganda Day.

The state will carry out constitutional publicity and education activities in various forms. People of all ethnic groups in the country, all state agencies and armed forces, all political parties and social groups, and all enterprises and institutions must regard the Constitution as the fundamental guideline for their activities, and have the responsibility to safeguard the dignity of the Constitution and ensure its implementation.

Promote that the Constitution is a concentrated expression of the will of the Party and the people, and is a fundamental law formed through scientific and democratic procedures. Promote the leadership of the Party as the most fundamental guarantee for the implementation of the Constitution, publicize the country’s fundamental system, fundamental tasks, and our country’s political system established by the Constitution, publicize the basic contents of the Constitution such as citizens’ basic rights and obligations, and vigorously promote the spirit of the Constitution.
