How to remove desktop icon shadow and listen to voice

Many people know this method to remove the shadow of icons on the desktop: right-click My Computer, select Properties, enter the menu and click the Advanced tab. In the performance settings in the first column, click Settings to enter.

In the options in Visual Effects, find "Use shadows for icon labels on the desktop", tick it, and click OK. Generally, that's it. But sometimes it doesn’t work, what should I do? See method two.

Method 2: Right-click a blank space on the desktop and select Properties.

Click the "Desktop" tab.

Click "Customize Desktop". Once logged in, select the web tab. We can find (as shown in the picture below),

In the middle window, there is an extra one: file://. . . . , this thing covers our current desktop, but this is not a virus, but the desktop mode we set in the web page. Because a certain connection setting is set to our current desktop, so delete this item. That leaves "Current Home Page".

Check the settings for this webpage, click Delete, ignore the pop-up prompt, and just click "Yes". Confirm to exit again. You may find that the icon shadow is gone.
