How old is Nantong University?

Nantong University was founded in 19 12. It is a key comprehensive university jointly established by the Ministry of Transport and the People's Government of Jiangsu Province. In May 2004, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was formed by the merger of three public undergraduate universities: Nantong Medical College, Nantong Institute of Technology and Nantong Normal University. It is located in Nantong, a beautiful city with strong economic vitality and the reputation of "the first city in modern China" in the Yangtze River Delta. The school has 26 colleges, 1 large-scale comprehensive 3A hospitals, with more than 34,000 full-time students, including 65,438 doctoral and master students and more than 300 international students (data in 2008). There are 17 first-level master's degree authorization points, directly covering 105 second-level master's degree authorization points, and 3 first-level doctoral authorization points under construction. After the acceptance of 20 12, Nantong University has more than 20 doctoral authorization points.
