Origin: 1 886 in may1day, more than 200,000 workers in Chicago, USA went on strike to implement the eight-hour working system. After a hard and bloody struggle, they finally won. In order to commemorate this great workers' movement, the Second International announced that May 1 day every year will be designated as International Labor Day.
