Why do you get injured if you perform a Nazi salute?

The Dresden police in Germany stated on August 13 that an American tourist was attacked in Dresden for performing a Nazi salute, causing minor injuries. This is also the second incident of foreign tourists giving a Nazi salute in Germany since August. On August 5, two Chinese tourists were arrested for taking photos of a Nazi salute in front of the Reichstag Building in Berlin, Germany.

According to the Dresden police in Germany, the incident occurred at around 8:00 local time on August 12. A 41-year-old American man suffered minor injuries after being beaten for repeatedly performing the Nazi salute. High levels of alcohol were found in the American tourist's blood. The government is currently investigating American tourists for violating the country's law banning the display of Nazi symbols.

Police said the attacker left the scene of the incident and is currently being searched for causing bodily harm to others.

This is the second incident in two weeks that German authorities have detained foreign tourists for displaying Nazi salutes. On August 5, police detained two Chinese tourists, two men aged 36 and 49, for showing Nazi gestures and taking photos of each other with their mobile phones opposite the Reichstag in Berlin. Police said they were charged with "using illegal organization symbols." They were released after paying a deposit of 500 euros.
