The bus slowly drove to the intersection of Xin 'anjiang, Lanjiang and Fuchunjiang, where the water waves rippled slightly. When I got off the bus, I saw a half-plum-shaped battlements by the river, and Gu Yanzhou arrived.

Although it used to be stipulated by the government, the existing ancient towns are not large, and the periphery is residential buildings built nearly 20 years ago, which is not much different from ordinary towns. However, when you go to the old city, the Yuan wall standing silently along the river immediately has a sense of time.

The ancient town of Meicheng, which was built in Huang Wu in the Three Kingdoms for four years, is backed by Wulong Mountain Scenic Resort and water, with unique scenery. The origin of the name "Meicheng" stems from the fact that a section of the city wall along the river was built in the shape of half a plum blossom, and it won the reputation of "two and a half plum blossoms in the world, one in Beijing, one in Nanjing and half a plum blossom". This half plum blossom shows poetry and tells a story.

It has a history of nearly 1800 years and 1300 years. Times have changed. Meicheng has changed from state to county and from county to town. But this ancient town, which has experienced thousands of years of wind and rain, is the root of Yanzhou culture and the homesickness of Yanzhou people. Just like a plum blossom that has been sleeping for thousands of years and is about to bloom again, it has ushered in the day when it will bloom twice.

The oldest and most famous historical relic preserved in Meicheng is the ancient city wall here. The ancient city wall is located between the Millennium ancient town and the river, which is a natural barrier, and the ancient city wall is its second solid barrier. Now the preservation is not complete, and traces of the restoration can still be seen, but the momentum is not diminished.

The south gate of the ancient town is the clarification gate and the main entrance and exit. There is a gatehouse on the gate, with cornices upturned and vermicelli dust. Standing on the gatehouse overlooks the river view and the whole ancient town of Meicheng, which is an excellent position for viewing the landscape. During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, Tang Zhongxian, an old acquaintance of Yanzhou Prefecture, wrote the poem "Looking at the Spring in the Building": "Looking at the southeast of wuyue from a distance, we can only see the vast situation. Jiang Heng Grottoes turn over the snow, near Yancun Road, around the flowers. "

Today, the ancient town of Meicheng has experienced historical storms, war damage and man-made destruction. Although it has lost its heyday, it has been restored, washed and re-exhibited, standing grandly by the Xin 'an River, showing the graceful new charm of the ancient city.

From the clarification gate along the main street and the front street of the house, straight to the old house, countless ancient houses are connected in series on both sides of the alley; From east to west, the Jade Belt River is sparkling, and East Lake and West Lake are two shining pearls. From south to north, Taiping Street is connected in series with the Clarification Gate, the state capital and the memorial archway, and the streets are paved with blue slabs as bright as mirrors. This pattern has not changed for thousands of years.

I can't wait because I like it. Because I can't wait, I can strive for more time to walk slowly in the ancient town, stop and go in the streets, and feel the local customs, street culture or stories hidden in a corner. ...

Although Meicheng is an ancient town that has been renovated twice in Meikai, the architectural structure here is meticulous, the combination of wood and bricks, and the exquisite wood carvings set it off better. Up to now, there are still small streets and alleys paved with white walls and tiles and blue slabs, which are antique and charming.

Now, there are shops on both sides of Qingshiban Road. Maybe there are not many people at present, and most of them are not open. However, before it is full of traffic and tourists, you can better appreciate the old taste of the ancient town slowly.

Similar to the ancient town of Jiangnan, an ancient stone road street is facing the ancient city wall, which is the core street of Meicheng and the main area for traveling here now.

Walking on the stone road of Meicheng ancient town, every step will be surprised to see a memorial arch lying in front of you, which seems to remind people of the glory of the ancient city.

At the crossroads, there is an archway to commemorate Mr. Fan Zhongyan's "taking care of the world first"-Fansi Square. At the southern end of the main street, an antique archway stands under the blue sky. This archway was built in memory of Sun Shao, a famous soldier of the Three Kingdoms, with the words "meritorious service" written on it, which is also the origin of Jiande City. There are four stone carvings under the archway, which are very beautiful and look imposing.

The stone tablets and stone archways in Meicheng are rich in cultural connotation and historical imprint. A stone tablet is a history, and a stone archway is a story. There used to be 100 archway in Meicheng ancient town, but now there are 19 archway left, which is enough for tourists to see the traces of time and the context of history.

Meicheng ancient town has also won the reputation of "National Thousand Strong Towns". This place was once fascinated by famous ancient literati and politicians, such as Du Mu, Fan Zhongyan, Liu Changqing, Li Bai, Meng Haoran and Xie Lingyun. They have all worked or traveled here, and at the same time, they have gained popular poems.

Here, you can walk through the bluestone road, slowly meet those buildings that have preserved their style and meet their historical secrets. Perhaps there are some stories that can be the memories of tourists and witness its imprint of the times.

The smoke and waves of Xin' anjiang flow for thousands of years, and they are endless. Although Meicheng gradually declined and lost its former glory, with the blooming of the second plum blossom, ancient Yanzhou reappeared its glory.

That tranquility, that leisure, that tranquility gave me an illusion and moved, that is, this is my hometown.

When I was leaving, I remembered Meng Haoran's poem "Sleeping at Jiande": The boat was sailing in the fog, and at dusk, the old things started again, and it was written that he went down to the south of the Yangtze River and spent the night in a small continent in Xin 'anjiang. The vastness of the wilderness is deeper than trees, and the moon is very close to the moon. I can vaguely see the clear and calm river and the bright moon in the water accompanied by the poet on board.

Meicheng, I have been here, met you in a hurry and left in a hurry, drifting away behind Meicheng, and my heart is full of inexplicable emotions.
