Ji Xianlin: Not necessarily 12 years old. Of course, learning early is better than learning late. Learning the pronunciation of a foreign language has a lot to do with the mother tongue. In some places, people have too strong accents, which makes it difficult to learn. Ancient prose is also very important.

in my opinion, a child should recite at least 2 poems and 5 ancient prose, which is the minimum requirement. A book was recently published to encourage children to recite poems.
